Coldstart started in 2011 in one unit off Gosford Street with a ramp, a toolbox and a kettle. We are four units along now, with three ramps and the same kettle.
Half of what we do is ordinary and important: services, MOTs, brakes, clutches, cambelts, and finding the fault that three other places could not. The other half is the reason most people come to us in the first place, which is the older and the modified stuff. Restorations, engine work, suspension setups, wheels, and paint correction on cars people actually care about.
We explain what we found before we touch it, we photograph anything we take off, and we ring you before the bill changes. If a job is not worth doing we will say so, even when saying so costs us the work.
